Mumbai after 3 months!

We were in Mumbai over the weekend. It was a fun filled weekend. Saturday we watched circus. I enjoyed elephant playing cricket and performing Pooja. Later, we had good time at Rupali-aaji's place. Sunday was Aai's B'day and we went to my favorite restro 'Wild Dining' and had yummy pasta and other delicacies.

Back to school

School reopened on 22nd. I was eager to reach school as I wanted to tell my friends all about my vacation. Shamita cried a bit intially but was happy to see her buddies when her school van arrived.


'Your ward will have a retest on 30th, 1st and 2nd' with other additional  details.
OMG! (This was my Aai's reaction when she read above notice in my diary). She said I need to revise 1st sem syllabus over next few days. hmm, this means she is going to spoil my weekend!

I missed my semester exams as we both were down with HFMD infection and were virually locked inside our house for entire one week...

Diwali - Bhaubeej

Sunday evening, we had Bhaubeej and Padawa rituals at home. I gifted Shamita a new CD with some songs and Compass box from Hyd was supposed to be my return gift

We didn't buy crackers this year. We just finished last year's stock (phulbaji, Anar and Bhuichakra). And, we were also told at school crackers cause air and noise pollution.

This reminds me, I need to finish two projects. Air/Water/Noise pollution and colour names in Marathi. Mommy got some pictures and information on water pollution from net (not sure what that mean but it looks interesting as Mommy once showed me her childhood cartoon named 'Johnny Sokko and the Giant Robot' on it).

I wore a new suit on Diwali eve and as usual me n mom had fight on which accessories to wear and again as usual Aai-Baba gave up!

Hyderabad Trip

Daddy-Mommy planned for Hyderabad trip during this Diwali as we get bored at beaches and hill stations!

We started on 2^nd and came back on 7^th. We went by a train. Train journey was fun. There was one uncle in our compartment with whom we had nice time. To my parent’s surprise, I easily agreed to sleep alone on upper birth and it was fun but that doesn't mean I am OK to sleep alone at home!

Hyd zoo was amazing and much much better that ‘Ranicha Baug’ at Mumbai. It was lush green inside and we could see lots of animals (white tiger, leopard, lion, bear, fox, hyena, giraffe, crocodile, Hippo, various birds, while peacock, elephant to name a few). We sat in toy train and also had a ride in lion safari. We both were tired by eod.

Next two days, we stayed at Ramoji Film City. It was wonderful. We watched various entertainment shows, took few rides. There was a ghost house as well… Shamita got scared but I told he this is not real. I didn’t get scared. We also met few toons (Spidy, batman, superman, Mickey).

On Sat, we visited Salarjung museum, Charminar and snow world. The clock at Salarjung was cute.  Mommy spent an hour near Charminar in buying some stupid bangles and other stuff for herself and Shamita. So on our way to snow-world, I ensured that we stop by a toy shop. We bought Ben 10 magnet compass for me.  Snow world was cool! We made balls out of snow and threw at each other. There was one merry-go-round  sort of ride. After half an hour, we started feeling cold and came out. I wonder how Amey Mama and Shilpa Aatya family manage during winter in US???

We returned on Sunday by plane. It was Shamita’s first journey by air and we both enjoyed it.

We reached home-sweet-home on Sunday afternoon.
